The Special Communication Organization (SCO) is a public sector entity operating under the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecom, Government of Pakistan. Established in 1976, SCO was created with the mission to develop, operate, and maintain modern telecommunication services across the challenging terrains of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB). Over the decades, SCO has played a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide by ensuring connectivity in regions that were historically underserved due to geographical and infrastructural constraints.
